Rosa Horton Davis, 84 of Lenoir, transitioned from this earthly life on Monday, May 19th, 2025 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care Hudson. Rosa was born to the late Willfonz Horton and Carrie Bridges Horton. In addition to her parents, Rosa is preceded in death by her husband James Davis; daughter Sylvia McDaniels; sisters: Maryetta Rutherford and Mozella Kiser; and brother: Fonze Horton Jr.. Rosa was a member of Unity of Faith Church of Lenoir.

Left to cherish her memory are her sisters: Carolyn Bower (Steve) and Evangelist Mary Sloan (Bishop Michael Sloan); brothers: Will Horton (Betty), James Horton, and Howard Horton (Janice); grandchildren: Alger Horton, Willie McDaniels, Louise McDaniels; great-grandchildren: Zachariah McDaniels, Elijah McDaniels; As well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday May 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity of Faith Church in Lenoir with Pastor James Wilfong serving as the eulogist; interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
