Regina
Ramsey
June 5, 1952 – February 9, 2026
Regina Ramsey (Petkash), 73, of Morganton, NC, peacefully passed away at 4:44 a.m. on February 9, 2026, at her residence. Born June 5, 1952, in Broome, New York, to the late George Petkash and Regina Stolarczyk, Regina lived a life defined by warmth, steady devotion, and a love that made people feel instantly at home.
Regina attended college for several years before building a career as a banker, where her reliability, kindness, and attention to detail served her well until retirement. More than anything, Regina cherished her family. She shared 54 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Clifford James Ramsey, and poured her heart into creating a life filled with care, laughter, and togetherness.
She found joy in the simple, beautiful things—flowers, the outdoors, and days spent baking or thrift shopping. A talented sewer and gardener, Regina had a gift for making things grow, whether it was a garden in bloom or the people around her feeling encouraged and loved. She also loved road trips, especially those that ended at the beach, one of her favorite places to be. Her puppies, Bella and Scout, were constant companions and brought her daily comfort.
Regina will be remembered for how deeply she loved and cared for others—welcoming everyone she met and leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of family, friends, and neighbors.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Clifford James Ramsey; her children: Christopher Ramsey (Beverly) of Morganton, Sarah Kate (Tony) of Augusta, GA, Laurie L. Walls (Eddie) of Jacksonville, FL, and Bethany Falkenstein (Steve) of Plant City, FL; grandchildren Hannah, Jimmiah and Gunnar; great-grandchildren Gracelynn and Isaac Tate; siblings Rita Petkash (Kevin), Patricia Doniger (Andy), Tom Petkash (Belinda), John Petkash (Melissa), and Andrew Petkash (Helen); and her long-time friend, Pete Monroe.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers George and Perry Petkash; and her nephew Kyle Petkash.
The family of Mrs. Regina Ramsey will celebrate her life in private. Let us continue to keep them in our thoughts and prayers.
