Reather Reba Dula Ervin, transitioned from this earthly life to enter eternal glory on July 29,2025 at Amorem Hospice. She was born to the late Clarence Lynn Dula and Helen Harper on December 4, 1927. Reather was a lifelong member and Elder of Dulatown Presbyterian Church USA, where she was a choir member and pianist for over 40 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Organization, as well as the Graveyard Committee. Reather was a renowned baker and exceptionally talented painter. She was highlighted as a local artist in a documentary. In addition to her parents, Reather is preceded in death by her husband Geodfrey W. Ervin; son: Jeffrey Ervin; infant daughter: Rita Jane Ervin; grandson: Roddell Dixon Jr.; siblings: Clarence Lynn Tim Dula, Garland W. Dula, Kenneth B. Dula, and William C. (Stacy) Dula.

Left to mourn her loss but cherish her memory are her daughters Evelyn Dixon-Reynolds of Morganton; Symantha Genè Robertson of Hudson, and Kelly Ervin of Hudson; honorary Son: Matthew Harper (Barbara); sister: Elizabeth (Liz) Dula; grandchildren: Rita Dixon of Hudson, Kevin M. Dixon (Tomica) of Lenoir, Stacy M. Judge of Lenoir, Jeffrey D. Ervin of Charlotte, and Olivia J. Evin of Charlotte; honorary grandson: Justin Brooks; great-grandchildren: Devan Mackey (Kaitlyn), Marcus Dixon (Heavan), Zarian Dixon,  Kayla Brown, Brett Judge, Karley Judge, Mahala Judge, Kyla Judge, and Taleigha Judge; as well as numerous great-great-grandchildren.

A triumphant homegoing celebration will be held Monday August 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Dulatown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Amos serving as presider and Pastor Rocky Dula as eulogist; interment will follow in the Dulatown Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
