Ms. Ossie Mary Conley was born September 11, 1945 to the late Thomas Martin Harshaw and the late Callie Pearl Burgess in Morganton, NC.  She departed this earthly life for her eternal reward on Thursday July 13, 2023 at UNC Health Caldwell.  Ossie graduated from Freeman High School and entered the healthcare field as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Caregiver.  She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Ervin Connelly on September 27, 1967 in Cherokee, South Carolina, and to this union two children were born.  She attended Christ Church of Lenoir and loved giving God praise.   Ossie also enjoyed caring for family and friends and cooking tasty meals.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild Tajhon Conley, brother Leon Harshaw, and sisters Janice Wilson and Allienan Thomas.

Left to mourn her loss but cherish her precious memories are her children: Tran Conley of Lenoir and Michelle Conley of Woodbridge, VA; brothers Ira Harshaw (Pam) of Lenoir, Jimmy Harshaw (Odessa) of Lenoir, and Joe Harshaw (Ann) of Seattle, WA; sister Minnie Harshaw of Lenoir; grandchildren: Michael Corpening (Mandy), Jason Ohr, Tran K. Conley, Dontacia Conley, NyRiesha Conley, LaKisha Conley, Duron Conley, and Tiffany Conley; twenty-three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration honoring the life of Ossie Mary Conley will be held Saturday July 22, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Highways to Hedges Ministry in Lenoir; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
