Odessa Dillard-Foddrell, affectionately known as Cookie, 83, of Conover NC, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025.  Born on November 10, 1941, Cookie was the daughter of the late James and Helen Beckner Dillard. Cookie retired as a dedicated United States Postal Service worker. She was a woman of unwavering faith and served as a beloved "Mother" at St. Johns Full Gospel Deliverance Church in Bloomfield Ct, where she was known for her love, kindness, and devotion. Her life was a testament to her Christian beliefs, and she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and generous heart.

Cookie is survived by her devoted husband Alphonso Foddrell, her sisters; Claudine Dillard, Deborah Bushnell, and Yvonne Dillard; her brother, Tyrone Dillard whom she gave her undivided attention to; her sister-cousin Creasie Hairston; her step-children, Tracey and Dyego; her granddaughter Tierra; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A homegoing celebration honoring the life of Mrs. Odessa Dillard Foddrell will take place Saturday August 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at The Life Center in Lenoir; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place Tuesday August 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Bluefield, WV.
