It is with great sadness that we announce the transition of Marion Windom Jr., 90 of Granite Falls, who passed away on Sunday November 20, 2022  at Amorem Hospice of Hudson.

Born on November 4, 1932 in Long County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marion Windom Sr. and Viola Wright.  He was married to the former Nora Thomas and to this union 7 children were born.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Marion Bristol.  Left to cherish his loving memory are daughters Teresa Berry of Dublin, GA and Laverne Cates (Joe) of Atlanta, GA; sons Lynn Ellington of Dublin, GA, Tyrone Windom (Denise) of Dublin, GA, Johnny Bristol of Morganton, Donte McPherson of Moorseville, NC, and Deandre McPherson; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private viewing and time of remembrance.  Let us continue to keep the Windom and connected families in our thoughts and prayers.
