A Time To Be Born- Lucille Lipford Isbell, age 90, born February 3, 1935 to Marshall and Laura Lipford in Caldwell County
A Time To Learn- Lucille received her Adult High School Diploma from Caldwell Community College in 1972
A Time To Plant- On May 29, 1960, Lucille married the love of her life, James L. Isbell Jr. Out of this union, two children, Marshall Isbell and Chantè Isbell Stucky were born.
A Time To Enjoy Life and Friends- Lucille was a devoted, loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was devoted to helping raise her siblings, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, giving love support and advice to carry with them for the rest of their lives she loved and cared for her nieces and nephews. She loved music, playing piano, dancing, baking, cooking, and making you laugh. She was dedicated to our God and her many years of service and her faithful walk with the Lord.
A Time To Learn-
Lucille retired from shadow line lingerie after 30 years of employment
A Time To Worship-
Lucille grew up as a member of the Bushtown Mennonite Brethren Church she faithfully followed her husband for more than 20 years, supporting his calling as a pastor in the Mennonite Brethren Churches of NC. She worked and served at vacation Bible camp, as a missionary, and as a Sunday school teacher.
A Time To Mourn-
On Saturday, November 8, 2025 Lucille was called home to be with the Lord. Left to mourn her loss but cherish her memory are: a son: Marshall Isbell (Cecelia) of Sacramento, CA; daughter: Chantè Isbell Stucky (Raymond) of Lenoir; granddaughter who she raised as a daughter: Autumn Isbell (James) of Lenoir; a daughter in love: Tammy Cochran of Lenoir; seven grandchildren: Derrick Isbell (Melissa) of Lenoir, Amara Grier (Charles) of Concord, RaeAnna McDowell of Lenoir, Geoffrey Isbell, Alejandra Isbell, Emily and Andrea of Sacramento, CA; ten great-grandchildren: Makyla, Joquan, Auriyon (Brittany), Kalaisha, Deshawn, Malaijah, Tashyia, Ayden, Roman, and Xyla; her twin sister: Louise Fox of Lenoir; sisters: Virginia Hood of Lenoir, Gertrude Gaines of Statesville, and Nancy Dillingham of Valdese; honorary nieces: Dorene Bratton of Gastonia and Terra Gilmore of Lenoir; honorary nephews; Ricky Fox of Raleigh and Joey Lipford of Lenoir.
A Receiving of Friends will be held on Thursday November 13, 2025 at The Life Center, Lenoir from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM; followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. Interment will then take place at Bushtown Mennonite Brethren Cemetery.
