Lonzell Brown

August 31, 1940 - September 11, 2024

Lonzell Brown, a devoted family man and dedicated healthcare professional, passed away on September 11, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and countless memories.  Born on August 31, 1940, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Lonzell spent his life serving others. For over 30 years, he worked tirelessly as an Operating Room Technician at Frye Regional Medical Center, touching the lives of countless patients and colleagues.  Lonzell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cora Rhodes-Brown, granddaughter, Kadence Harbison and grandson Carson Moore. He is survived by: Daughters: Traci Brown (Charlotte, NC) and Heather Brown Moore (Newton, NC); Sister: Anne Hayes (Philadelphia, PA); Grandchildren: Jalen Brown (Shelby, NC), Xavier Ransom (Charlotte, NC), Cavan Moore (Conover, NC), Nicholas Harbison (Charlotte, NC), Shelby Brown (Charlotte, NC), Camara Moore (Conover, NC), and Laila Harbison (Charlotte, NC).

Lonzell's impact extended far beyond his family. He had a gift for connecting with everyone he met, leaving an indelible mark on their lives. His kindness, compassion, and generosity inspired countless people.

The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Lonzell's life and legacy. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 30th at 2:30 p.m. at Burke Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

Rest in peace Lonzell. Your love, kindness, and devotion will never be forgotten.
