Lonnie Edmondson, 70 of Morganton, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 26, 2022, following a period of declining health. Born in Burke County September 3, 1952, he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Dan and Naomi Edmondson. He was formerly employed at Dana Corporation where he worked as a welder. Lonnie was a faithful member of Green Street Presbyterian Church where he attended until his transition. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter Tonya Kincaid, brother Coy Edmondson, and grandsons Carlton "Lovii" Edmondson and Tyron J. Ervin Jr.

Left to cherish his precious memories is his loving wife Rita and granddaughter Kimora of the home; children: Sarnya Ervin (Tyrone), Janel Horton, Thomas Johnson (Billy), Lanisha Edmondson (Chastain), Lonnique Edmondson (Nicky), and Leo Edmondson (Choc); one brother Dean Edmondson; seventeen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday November 1, 2022 at Green Street Presbyterian Church at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
