Our All wise Heavenly Father, the one who makes no mistakes, returned for Lawrence Charles Patterson, 68 of Morganton, North Carolina.

Lawrence graduated from Hibriten high school and soon after entered the United States Army. He served faithfully and was proud of his service. Lawrence worked at Cobe Laboratories in New Jersey and Chicago. Lawrence was considered the family master mechanic. He was always willing to lend helping hand in anyway he could. Lawrence was always good for a a tall tale.

He was born May 6, 1957, and Caldwell County, the son of Luey (Moot) and Mabel Patterson. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by: Reba Speights, Hattie Patterson, Juristine Patterson (sisters); and Earl Patterson, Robert Patterson, Joseph Patterson, Lester Patterson, and Lewis Patterson (Brothers).

Those left to cherish his memory are his son Lawrence Patterson II (Tatiana), and daughter: Yolanda Monique Patterson both of Chicago IL; sister Sandra Connolly of Alamogordo, NM; granddaughter: Zoey of Chicago; Alma Patterson, who was always in his heart; sister-in-law: Sandra Patterson; nieces: Tenesha, Bianca, and Gaynell; nephews: Sean, Lamont, Dean and Tony; as well as a host of great nieces, great nephews cousins, other relatives, and a grand circle of friends

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mr. Patterson will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home, followed by Inurnment at Green Hill Church Cemetery.
