Julius Nathaniel Taylor Jr., was called to his eternal home on July 16, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born to the late Julius Taylor Sr. and Harriett Gash on June 24, 1959 in Burke County. Julius was a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan!  In his leisure time, he thoroughly enjoyed golfing. He was known as a dedicated business owner and a loving family man.   Julius was a faithful member of Abernethy Memorial Methodist Church where he served as a youth Sunday School teacher and a member of the choir.  In addition to his parents, Julius is preceded in death by his grandson Kano Caldwell and brothers Harold Chatman, Frank Chatman, and James Chatman.

Left to mourn his loss but cherish his memory are his wife: Leslie Taylor of the home; children: Temesha Scott (James), Julius Tywade Davis (Donna), Austin Goodson (Kristyn), Braxton Goodson, Samantha Taylor, and Nathaniel Taylor; grandchildren: TyAsia Tracy (Brandon), Xharlexia Caldwell, Quaintel Dixon (Jocelyn), Markell Owens Sr., Iyunnia Owens Davis, Yulawn Owens Davis, Deshawn McCoy, Eastyn Goodson, and Asher Goodson; great-grandchildren: Ansleigh Owens, Ruby Davis, and Markell "MJ" Owens Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration honoring the life of Mr. Nathaniel Julius Taylor Jr. will be held Monday July 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Abernethy Memorial Methodist Church in Newton, NC; interment will follow in the Central Cemetery in Newton.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
