Joe Lewis Ferguson Jr., 65, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Mission Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1959, in Caldwell County to Joe Ferguson Sr. and Blondella Moore. A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Joe was known for his kindhearted nature and his love for everyone he met. He was passionate about CrossFit and working out, and he enjoyed listening to rock music. In his spare time, Joe liked golfing, fishing, and shooting.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents: Walter Lenoir Ferguson Sr., Annie Gladys Fox Ferguson, Howard Moore, and Annie Kincaid Moore, as well as his aunts Ardene Pearson and Della Smith.

He is survived by his son, Toryhan Ferguson, and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Ferguson, of Hickory; his brother, Tim Ferguson, and sister-in-law, Lisa Ferguson, of Lenoir; his niece, Temica Ferguson, and nephew, Darris Ferguson, both of Lenoir; along with a host of close friends and family members who will cherish his loving memories.

A Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home. We ask that you keep the Ferguson family in your thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
