Mr. Jerome Lavon Connelly, 35 of Morganton, departed this earthly life on Monday June 13, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC.  Born November 19, 1986, he was the son of Elizabeth Lowrance Corpening and the late Ernest Connelly Jr.  He worked as a landscape technician and dedicated himself to helping others that were in need.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother Will Pearson.

Left to cherish his loving memory is his fiancé Latasha Henderson; mother Elizabeth Corpening; children Jaquan Connelly, Iziaha Corpening, Shalisa Corpening, Justice Corpening, Trenady Corpening, Jerome L. Connelly Jr., and Victoria Henderson; siblings Jacob Connelly (Kayla), Brandy Stapleton, Dante Lowrance, and Antonio Lowrance; nieces Baylee Stapleton and Takayla "Biscuit" Connelly; grandmother Wilma Lowrance; uncle Moe Lee Lowrance; aunts Shonda Kincaid and Rebecca McGimpsey; mother in law Vickey Perry; special family members Stacie Camp and her daughter Malyia Camp; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A receiving of friends will be held Sunday June 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCain Funeral Home & Cremations.
