Helen Kanipe
Ervin
February 10, 1935 – June 10, 2023
Helen Kanipe Ervin
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrows, nor crying.
--Revelation 21:4
On February 10, 1935 in Burke County, an awesome daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother & friend was sent to us. After 88 years of gracing us with her presence, Helen Ervin was transferred to her heavenly home on June 10, 2023 after a short illness, with her children by her side.
Helen was a born again Christian Woman of God who served her church with faithfulness. She was a dedicated member of Mission AME Church where she was a Stewardess, Trustee Secretary, President of the Missionary, and a member of the Senior Choir. She retired from Drexel Heritage and was a former member of the Blueridge Elks Lodge #1388.
Helen was preceded in death by her father Thomas Davis, her mother Dollie Mae Kanipe, her husband Harper Ervin, Sr. and her brother Fred Kanipe.
Helen leaves her children to cherish her memories and to carry her legacy: Kenneth Ervin and wife Mae from Iron Station, NC; Harper Ervin Jr. and wife Melinda from Charlotte, NC; Tamara Ervin, Beverly and Robert Feimster, Mark Ervin and wife Sharma and Brian Ervin and wife Camey all of Morganton, NC; 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39
