In the arms of his soul mate, Garry Ferguson peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on June 28, 2025. Garry Ferguson was born on August 8, 1961, to the late Bobby James Ferguson and Mabel Hood.  He was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Johnnie Parsons Ferguson, and to this union two children were born.  Garry was a family man who had a gift for cooking. He loved to bring his family together through his culinary skills. Garry and Johnnie were married for 43 years. They were best friends and soulmates who put God in the center of their marriage. Garry was a quiet yet God fearing man. He loved his grandchildren dearly, and especially loved to spoil them. Garry drove trucks and had a talent and passion for mechanic work. He enjoyed working on vehicles and helping others with car issues. He enjoyed traveling and fishing with his family. Gary attended Hoods Chapel United church of God for many years before he was led by God begin attending Christ Church of Lenoir. Gary had a good heart and would go out of his way to help anyone. He was a man of morals and integrity. He would sacrifice in silence and was a firm believer in doing the right thing when others aren't looking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Ferguson.

Left to mourn his loss but cherish his precious memories is his loving wife Johnnie Ferguson of the home; son Timothy Ferguson Jr. ("TJ") of Florida; daughter Ashley Nicole Isaacs (Michael) of Hudson; sisters Genetta Kelly (William) of South Carolina and Allesia Audrey of Lenoir; brothers Bobby "Junior" Ferguson of Charlotte, NC, Chris "Lamont" Ferguson (Marshel) of Lenoir, and Kim Ferguson (Charlena) of Charlotte; grandchildren: Michael Stewart Ferguson, Victoria Patrick, Jamal Ferguson, Landon Ferguson, Brentley Ferguson, Zoey Isaacs, Josiah Ferguson, and Liam Ferguson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Garry Timothy Ferguson will take place Saturday July 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Highways To Hedges Ministry; interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
