Mr. Farley Denlane Cassell was born January 29, 1951 in Mecklenburg County to the late James Cassell and the late Isabell Land Cassell.  He departed this earthly life for his eternal reward on Saturday July 15, 2023 at Amorem Hospice in Valdese.  Following high school, Farley worked for many years as a general laborer.  He was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Edith Corpening Cassell.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Debbie McCray.

Left to mourn his loss but cherish his precious memories is his loving wife of 13 years Edith Cassell of the home; brother Darrell Cassell of Charlotte; sisters Brigette Billings (Charles) and Tiffany Hopkins; step-daughters Candace Corpening of Wilkesboro, Cierra C. Thomas of Morganton, and Breotta Pringle of Lenoir; step-sons Ricco McGill and James McGill; and a host of step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Farley Cassell will be held Sunday July 23, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at New Hope in Christ Church with Rev. William Harbison serving as the eulogist.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
