Mother Emma J. Williams Fox

Mother Emma Jean Williams Fox was born April 17, 1949 to the late Joe and Betty Brown Williams in Wilkes County.  She departed this life earthly life for her Heavenly reward on August 11, 2025.  Emma cherished her family. She loved to laugh and make people smile. She absolutely loved growing her vegetables and planting her flowers. She was definitely an outdoors kind of girl.  She was a member of Bible Way #3 church where she served as an usher, devotional leader and on the Mother's board. She was faithful to her church, but most of all she was faithful to God. Her presence will truly be missed.

In addition to her parents, Mother Emma Fox was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Eddie Joe Fox, two brothers Fred and Robert Williams, three sisters Sarah Williams, Annie Williams Vaught and Julia May Williams

Left to cherish her precious memory is her daughter Gemika (Timothy) Steele of the home; two grand-daughters Jazmin Fox and Cynthia Steele of the home; one great-granddaughter Reagan McGuire of Lenoir, NC; two brothers Joe Williams Jr of High Point, NC and David Williams of Georgia; four sisters Mary Davenport, Denise Saner and Evelyn (Johnny) Waugh all of Wilkesboro, NC, Eva (Thomas) Watts of Florida. Along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A homegoing celebration honoring the life and legacy of Mother Emma J. Williams Fox will be held Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bible Way #3 Church with Pastor Gene Roger Dula presiding and Overseer Corinthia Dula serving as the eulogist; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  A private dove release will be held at a later date for the family.
