Effie M. Harbison, 82 of New York City passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Born July 17, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Samuel R. Harbison, Sr. and the late Ella J. Harbison.  She was an active member of St. Luke A.M.E. Church in New York.

Effie is survived by a son, Brian Anthony Harbison of New York; a sister, Linda K. Givens of Charlotte North Carolina, 3 brothers Samuel R. Harbison Jr, (Joan) of Newark Delaware, Daniel R. Harbison (Rose) of St. Joseph, Michigan, George M. Harbison (Mary) of the family home, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She will be funeralized in New York at St. Luke AME Church at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022 and will be laid to rest at Shiloh AME Church in Morganton North Carolina on Wednesday May 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
