David Clodoaldo Tarrillo, age 69, of Drexel, North Carolina, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. David Clodoaldo was born May 07, 1953, in Pisco, Peru, a son of Carlos and Teofila Alva. He completed his secondary education while in Peru and it was also during his younger years that he developed a love for soccer. David later relocated to the United States and resided in Chicago, IL, and Oregon. It was while he lived in Oregon that he married the love of his life, Aurelia Chinchay on June 24, 1988, in Marion, Oregon. David was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith, and was baptized June 4, 1977, while living in Chicago. He was employed as a truck driver and loved seeing the world! He enjoyed meeting new people and trying diverse types of foods and telling us all about it. He loved playing the guitar, the harmonica, and the mandolin. David cherished his family and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandkids. His additional hobbies included fishing, hiking, making everyone he met laugh, and his handshakes were the best!

He is survived by his wife Aurelia Tarrillo of Drexel, NC; four children, Michelle Lynette Tarrillo, Erica Yoli Hanvey, John Hanvey, and David Rendon; three grandchildren, Katelina Sophia Rendon, Gabriel Pinzon, and Nevaeh Lynette Hanvey; his mother, Teofila Alva of Huaylas, Peru; six siblings, Rosa Tarrillo Alva, Aquiles Tarrillo, Carmen Chaucea Alva, Beatriz Tarrillo, Heber Tarrillo, and Magda Tarrillo; and his cousin, Miguel Mejia Alva, cousin Carmen Alva Mendez, cousin Victoria Guerrero Alva, cousin Elizabeth Areyano Alva, aunt Rosa Alva Garrion, nephew Wilmer Guevara Tarrillo, niece Lupe Martinez, close friend Moises Sauza, and close friend Susan Sauza. He is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Tarrillo.

A visitation will be held Wednesday May 3 ^rd from 7:00 p.m. until 8: 30 p.m. in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home & Cremations. The funeral service will be held Thursday May 4 ^th at 3:00 p.m. at Morganton Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Steve Bietz serving as the eulogist; interment will follow in the church cemetery.

David Clodoaldo Tarrillo, de 69 años, de Drexel, Carolina del Norte, falleció el viernes 28 de abril de 2023 en su residencia, rodeado de su amada familia.

David Clodoaldo nació el 07 de mayo de 1953 en Pisco, Perú, hijo de Carlos y Teófila Alva. Completó su educación secundaria mientras estaba en Perú y también fue durante sus años más jóvenes que desarrolló un amor por el fútbol. David más tarde se trasladó a los Estados Unidos y residió en Chicago, IL y Oregón. Fue mientras vivía en Oregón que se casó con el amor de su vida, Aurelia Chinchay el 24 de junio de 1988, en Marion, Oregon. David era de la fe adventista del séptimo día, y fue bautizado el 4 de junio de 1977, mientras vivía en Chicago. ¡Estaba empleado como conductor de camión y le encantaba ver el mundo! Le gustaba conocer gente nueva y probar diversos tipos de alimentos y contarnos todo al respecto. Le encantaba tocar la guitarra, la armónica y la mandolina. David apreciaba a su familia y le encantaba pasar tiempo con su esposa, hijos y nietos. Sus pasatiempos adicionales incluían pescar, caminar, hacer reír a todos los que conocía, ¡y sus apretones de manos eran los mejores!

Le sobreviven su esposa Aurelia Tarrillo de Drexel, Carolina del Norte; cuatro hijos, Michelle Lynette Tarrillo, Erica Yoli Hanvey, John Hanvey y David Rendon; tres nietos, Katelina Sophia Rendon, Gabriel Pinzon y Nevaeh Lynette Hanvey; su madre, Teófila Alva de Huaylas, Perú; seis hermanos, Rosa Tarrillo Alva, Aquiles Tarrillo, Carmen Chaucea Alva, Beatriz Tarrillo, Heber Tarrillo y Magda Tarrillo; y su primo, Miguel Mejía Alva, su prima Carmen Alva Méndez, su prima Victoria Guerrero Alva, su prima Elizabeth Areyano Alva, su tía Rosa Alva Garrion, su sobrino Wilmer Guevara Tarrillo, su sobrina Lupe Martínez, su amigo cercano Moisés Sauza y su amiga cercana Susan Sauza.  Le precede en la muerte su padre, Carlos Tarrillo.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el miércoles 3 de mayo de 7:00 p.m. a 8: 30 p.m. en la Capilla Conmemorativa Corpening de McCain Funeral Home & Cremations. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el jueves 4 de mayo a las 3:00 p.m. en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día de Morganton con el pastor Steve Bietz como elogio; el entierro seguirá en el cementerio de la iglesia.
