Darryll Tyrone Edmunds, born September 20, 1961, left us on January 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, washing cars and love for family.  Born to James Andrew Edmunds Jr and Louise Logan Edmunds, Darryll grew up knowing the value of a good day's work and the importance of bringing joy to those around him.  Darryll spent his life surrounded by family. He married his wife, Wanda Edmunds, on September 10, 1988. Together, they built a household filled with affection and laughter. Darryll loved nothing more than spending time with his kids and grandchildren, making memories and filling rooms with his easy, infectious humor.

He was the kind of man who could light up a room, who knew the exact moment to crack a joke or share a story. If you ever caught a ride with him to the casino, you'd see a different side a man who loved the thrill of hitting the jackpot on the slot machines, and who could make even losing seem like a win if you were lucky enough to be by his side.  Darryll is preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Edmunds Jr; his mother, Louise Logan Edmunds; and his niece, Angela Denise Edmunds.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Wanda Edmunds; his three children, Thomas (Rue) Brown, Travis Andrew Edmunds, and Amber Lanette Edmunds; two grandchildren, Amare Jayce Brown and Rhian Marie Brown and 4 siblings, Edna Jacobs, Vernon Edmunds, Janice Joyner ( Terry), Arnetta Caldwell (Daniel) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Darryll's absence leaves a hole that can only be filled by the stories we tell about him and the laughter we share in his memory just as he did, every day. His family and friends will miss him dearly, but his spirit lives on in every joke, every clean car, and every jackpot won.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Mr. Darryll Tyrone Edmunds will take place Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home & Cremations; the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
