Mr. Darryl Andrew Conley, 63 of Morganton, went home to be with his Lord on Monday June 17, 2024 at UNC-Health Blue Ridge. Born February 3, 1961 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Horatio Bristol and the late Linda Mary Conley. He was educated in the Burke County School System and graduated from Freedom High School. Darryl was a faithful member of New Hope in Christ Church under the leadership of Pastor LaTrese Lyerly. He will be remembered for his humor, wisdom, and jovial nature. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Horatio ("Little Race") Bristol, Rev. Max Bristol, Tracy Conley, and Angelo Davis.

Left to mourn his loss but cherish his precious memories are his sisters Linda Caldwell (Ronnie) of Morganton, Shirley Smith of Greensboro, NC, Brenda Conley of Hallsboro, NC, Sherry Bristol, Sandra Bristol, and Becky Davis; brothers Herbert Bristol of Asheville, NC, James Bristol (Catrina) of Savannah, GA, Johnny Bristol (Francine) Asheville, NC, Kenneth Conley of Morganton, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Darryl Conley will be held Saturday June 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope In Christ Church with Pastor LaTrese Lyerly serving as the eulogist.   The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
