Cristal Dionne Lynch, 57, of Brooklyn, NY went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.  Born December 29, 1967, she was the daughter of Robert C. Lynch and Nell H. Lynch.  Cristal graduated from Freedom High School in Morganton, NC with the class of 1986.  She then obtained her dental assistant degree from Western Piedmont Community College and went on to work as a dental assistant and dental office manager for the duration of her career.  Cristal transitioned from her earthly home after a long and awe-inspiring battle with lupus, one that she stared down declaring "Not today!" on many, many occasions. She fought with the strength of a warrior, with her daughter Zorian always holding steadfast by her side. Through it all she maintained her sense of humor, quick wit, sharp tongue and fierce determination.

She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Orange Lee Miller Lynch and Robert Lynch; maternal grandparents Ruth Ross Hughes and Willie Hughes; brother Marvin Lee Lynch, sister Tammy Laverne Lynch as well as many beloved aunts and uncles.

Cristal leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Zorian Ruth Gordon of Brooklyn, NY, Zorian's father Trevor Gordon of Brooklyn, NY; her parents mother Nell Lynch, of Morganton, NC, father Robert C. Lynch and bonus-mom Amie Lynch of Morganton, NC; sisters Daphnia Price of Forest City, NC; Celeste Lynch of Morganton, NC; Fontaina Caldwell, of Morganton, NC; Gloria Pinson (Kevin) of Charlotte, NC; Diane McGough (Charles) of Corpus Christi, TX; Regina Lynch of Durham, NC; Shellian Elliot (Dwayne) of Nashville, TN; brother Adrian Lynch (Chelsie) of Apex, NC; sister in love, Sharma Tate Ervin of Morganton, NC; uncle Donald Lynch of Patterson, NJ; uncle Terry Hughes of Elmira, NY; aunts Sandra Lynch of Gastonia, NC, Toni (Lynn) Owens of Gastonia, NC and Nanina (Alex) Brown of Forest City, NC, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cristal fought the good fight and has completed this leg of her race. Let us rejoice that she won her jeweled crown and now rests in eternal peace.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Ms. Cristal Dionne Lynch will take place Saturday July 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home & Cremations, LLC; the family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.

There will be no public viewing.
