In Loving Memory of Amorita Barringer / Amo

Amorita Barringer, 56, of Morganton, NC, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026. Amorita Barringer was born on June 17, 1970, in Beckley to her beautiful mother, Linda Barringer, and caring father, Charles Mitchell. She was a loving mother to her son, Jacob Jackson, and daughter, Miracle Robinson; a sister to Katrina Dunn and John Barringer; and a grandmother to John Jackson and Miron Pottinger. Throughout her life, Amorita was known for her sense of humor, strength, generosity, faith, and love for everyone who came around her. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, talking to friends over the phone, and a good celebration. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and loved ones.

She lives on through Jacob, Miracle, Johnny, Katrina, and John.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda; her father, Charles; and her grandmother, Hazel. Amo was known for being one of a kind. One second, you could be laughing with her, and the next, she was reaching for her RAID! The impact she had on people and the community is indescribable. Her laugh was contagious, and her love and care never went unnoticed. Amo truly was authentic, unforgettable, and unique.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to join them in remembering and celebrating the life of Amorita. A Receiving of Friends will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home & Cremations, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:30 PM. Burial will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park of Beckley, WV, at a later date.

She is deeply loved and forever remembered.
