With heavy hearts, we announce the earthly transition of Mr. Alonzo Smith, 58 of Morganton (and a dedicated member of New Deliverance Church of the Trinity, under the leadership of Pastor Tammy Wakefield), who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby.  Let us continue to keep the Smith, New Deliverance Church of the Trinity, and connected families in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

A homegoing celebration for Mr. Alonzo Smith will be held Wednesday July 30, 2025 at 12 noon in the Corpening Memorial Chapel of McCain Funeral Home and Cremations; the family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service.
